‘The Red Sleeve Cuff’ is a Korean drama which adapted from a famous novel “The Sleeve’s Red Cuff” (옷소매 붉은 끝동) by Kang Mi Kang (강미강).
The drama is penned by Jung Hae Ri and directed by Jung Ji In. This historical drama became one of the new Korean dramas that most anticipated to watch in November 2021. It will be the first Korean drama for 2PM’s Lee Jun Hoo after his military discharge in March 2021.
Synopsis.
The drama is set in the Joseon period in the 18th century. It depicts a love story between King Jeongjo and the court lady Sung Deok Im. In addition, the red sleeve cuff is a sign of a court lady who becomes a royal concubine and later becomes the mother of the crown Prince.
