On September 21, the International Rotary revealed that BTS Jimin donated over 100 million Won (approximately 84,270 USD) for polio eradication.

K-media report that according to Rotary International’s Regional Representative Moon Kyung-sook, BTS singer Park Jimin had donated 100 million won to their fund for polio eradication, a priority of the organization.

2. The donation is under the name of Park Hyun Soo

BTS Jimin likes to stay low profile and keep the donations in secret. Therefore, he also donated to the International Rotary secretly and under his father’s name, Park Hyun Soo.

4. Gosung Rotary Club will manage the fund

The donation is meant to be released on World Polio Day on October 24. In addition, the Rotary Club will use the fund to conduct a vaccine fundraising campaign to eradicate polio.

8. BTS Jimin also donated for education

BTS Jimin has made several beneficent donations. Previously, he also donated 85,000 USD to school students in South Jeolla Province, South Korea. On July 29, Park Jimin’s father, Park Hyun Soo, quietly presented the donation to the South Jeolla Office of Education on his son’s behalf.

In February, Jimin made a secret donation of new desks and chairs for all 1,200 students at his alma mater, Busan High School of Arts.
