2PM First MV from ‘MUST’ Comeback Album: Make It / “해야 해”
2PM previously announced that they would hold a comeback show on June 28 at 7 p.m. KST. Today, the boy group finally released their very first Music Video (MV) from their MUST comeback album.
The first MV released from 2PM comeback album was their title track, Make It. This MUST comeback album title track was partially written and composed by Wooyoung.
Furthermore, the original Korean title of Make It is actually called “해야 해” (Haeya hae), which literally means “Must do it” in English. According to Wooyoung, the original idea of the song came from two questions: “If love comes to me again, what should I say?” and “If now is the time for 2PM’s album, what should we do?” and then he just left everything out and started writing.
“The song originates from two questions that I want to ask and ‘must’ ask, which are, ‘If love comes to me again, what should I say?’ and ‘If now is the time for 2PM’s album, what should we do?’ I thought I should leave everything out and just write, ‘Must do it,’ and started from there. The members responded to my song with sincerity. They trusted in me and followed my lead while preparing for the album and recording the song, and seeing that, I worked hard until the end with eagerness to create the best results for these people.”

2PM Make It MV from ‘MUST’ Comeback Album Showed Different 2PM Concept
Before their long hiatus, 2PM was hugely prominent as a “beastly” group with extremely fit physique, handsome visuals, and powerful performances. However, it was all back then when they were in their 20s.
After a long hiatus due to the members’ mandatory military services, 2PM members are now mostly in their 30s. They believed the idea of sexiness today is totally different.

In the 2PM ‘MUST’ comeback album press conference, Taecyeon explained that 20s was the time for stronger feeling of the passionate vigor of youth. However, there is a different sexiness that only people in their 30s can demonstrate. And that is why 2PM showed different concept in their Make It MV from MUST comeback album.
“This is the first album we’re releasing after entering our 30s. I was 29 when we released our last album. In our 20s, I think we gave off a stronger feeling of the passionate vigor of youth. I believe the album itself portrayed an atmosphere that the 2PM of that time could show without limiting ourselves to simply being sexy. In the beginning, we radiated a showy, youthful energy with refreshing concepts and acrobatics, and in our 20s, we emphasized the sexiness we could show in our 20s. I think there’s a different sexiness that we can only show in our 30s.”

2PM Will Stay Together Even When Members Have Different Agency
As we all know, Taecyeon had previously left JYP Entertainment. He joined 51K entertainment agency in 2018, which means that he now belongs to a different agency compared to the other 2PM members.
However, 2PM ‘MUST’ comeback album has proved that a Kpop boy group can still remain together. It doesn’t matter whether the members have different agencies, as long as they have good communication, trust each other, and be considerate, the group will remain strong.
“I think the most important factor is communicating and building trust with each other. In my case, I left JYP Entertainment and became part of a different company, but the most important thing is how we think of each other. We continuously showed understanding and consideration for each other’s circumstances like family rather than work colleagues. So even when I left the agency, it wasn’t like 2PM wasn’t 2PM anymore. I think it’s possible to continue group promotions even after changing agencies as long as you have pride in your group and your members are considerate.”

2PM Make It / “해야 해” MV Hits 1 million Views Within a Few Hours
2PM released their first MV ‘Make It’ from ‘MUST’ comeback album on June 28 at 6 p.m KST. And in just a few hours, 2PM “해야 해” Make It MV has reached over 1.9 million views via the YouTube media platform.
