Good news to all fantasy romance Kdrama fans! tvN finally gave their response to the rumors about possible season 2 of the famous “Tale of the Nine-Tailed” Kdrama. So far, there are 3 important notes you need to know about the announcement.
Rumors of Possible Season 2 for “Tale of the Nine-Tailed”
Will the almighty guardian mountain spirit, Lee Yeon, and his brother Lee Rang, be back to the small screen? After the rumor about possible season 2 for famous Kdrama, “Tale of the Nine-Tailed”, fans wonder if we will be able to see these two lovely brothers again.
On September 27, various media reported a possible season 2, and even season 3, for “Tale of the Nine-Tailed”. Moreover, according to the source, both new seasons will bring different eras from Japanese colonial to the Joseon Dynasty. So, it’s safe to say that the new seasons will bring a whole different plot from the first season.
1. tvN Response to the Rumors of Possible “Tale of the Nine-Tailed” Season 2
Therefore, tvN finally gave their response to these circulating rumors, saying that they’re currently under positive discussion for the project.
“We are currently having positive discussions about a second season of ‘Tale of the Nine-Tailed.’”

2. Will Lee Dong Wook, Jo Bo Ah, and Kim Bum return?
Unfortunately, tvN has not made any decision regarding the cast lineup or any details for the broadcast up until today. Since it is still raw planning from the production team, the discussion will need some time to finalize. Therefore, there is no guarantee that the fantastic trio Lee Dong Wook, Jo Bo Ah, and Kim Bum will return.

3. Director Kang Shin Hyo Will Lead the Project
However, we’ve known two things so far after tvN gave their response for possible season 2 of “Tale of the Nine-Tailed”. First, the project will be another regular 16-episode Kdrama. And secondly, director Kang Shin Hyo will return and lead the project.
“We are planning for 16 episodes in the second season, and season one’s director, Kang Shin Hyo, will be in charge of the direction again.”
