The Buil Film Awards, hosted by Busan Ilbo and sponsored by Hwaseung Group, have revealed the highly anticipated nominees for this year’s nominations. Movie officials and judges carefully selected these nominees from films released between August 11, 2022, and August 10, 2023.
The Korean movie “Smugglers” has made history at the Buil Film Awards with a record-breaking 10 nominations in 9 categories, showcasing its exceptional accomplishment. Close behind is “Concrete Utopia” with an impressive 8 nominations, followed by “The Night Owl” with 7 nominations. Additionally, “Next Sohee” has secured 5 nominations, further adding to the excitement of this prestigious event.

Vote for “Star of the Year” at the 2023 Buil Film Awards
The Buil Film Awards has introduced an online poll for fans to vote for the “Star of the Year Award” alongside the official list of nominees. 63 Korean actors and 40 Korean actresses have been chosen based on their performances in films released between August 11, 2022, and August 10, 2023.
Among the notable actors included in the list are Kim Seonho, Kim Kang Woo, Kang Tae Joo, and Go Ara, the key actors of the film “The Childe.” Likewise, Kim You Jung and Roh Yoon Seo, who prominently starred in “20th Century Girl,” have also earned nominations for this accolade. 2023 Buil Film Awards Hosts and Venue
According to Nate, the 32nd Buil Film Awards will take place on October 5, 2023, at Signiel Busan. Lee Je Hoon and Esom will host the event, and it will be broadcast live by MBC and Naver TV. Make sure to tune in and catch all the action!
