4+ Labels in South Korea to Debut New Idol Groups in 2021

This year will be a busy year for Kpop Idols and Kpop fans. There will be at least 10 groups under different agencies to make their debut in 2021.

Earlier this year, EDAILY reported there would be more than 10 entertainment agencies are planning to debut new idol groups this year. Amongst the 10 labels, there are 4 biggest agencies, like Big Hit (and Big Hit Japan), SM, JYP, and YG, who are planning to debut their new boy and girl groups.

Several Kpop Idols to debut in 2021

First Idol to debut in 2021

It is revealed that a boy group T1419 under MLD Entertainment will make its debut on January 11 at 6 pm KST. Their first album is Before Sunrise Part 1, with the title track ASURABALBALTA. It is said that the title track is going to be a hip-hop/EDM genre with a unique and catchy melody.

The group consists of 9 members: Kairi, On, Gunwoo, Kevin, Sian, Noa, Kio, Leo and Zero. They have dropped several teasers on their official YouTube Channel.

Big Hit Japan

Another boy group who will make their debut in 2021 is a boy group under Big Hit Japan. This will be the first boy group under Big Hit Japan. Meanwhile, the group is the 6th boy group for Big Hit Entertainment after BTS, TXT, NU’EST, SEVENTEEN, and ENHYPEN.

The boy group has revealed its 5 first members: K, Nicholas, EJ, Kyungmin, and Ta-Ki. They are all from I-LAND. The rest of the members are chosen from an audition called &AUDITION.

Big Hit Entertainment

Different from Big Hit Japan, Big Hit Entertainment is planning to debut their Kpop girl group in 2021. However, we haven’t found any clue about this yet.

SM Entertainment

As for SM, it is reported that they are planning to debut a new boy group. The group has its own creative universe apart from the NCT Universe.

YG Entertainment

This year, YG is planning to debut a new girl group. This is aside from the rumor that some of their existing artists will start a solo career, such as Lisa and Rosé from Blackpink.
