On November 18 at midnight KST, the American Music Awards 2021 officially announced BTS x Coldplay “My Universe” 1st LIVE performance on stage. The AMAs official Twitter account stated that they would be having 2 bands, 11 members, in 1 stage.

Official Confirmation from BOTH BTS and Coldplay
In addition to the official announcement from the 2021 American Music Awards (AMAs), both BTS and Coldplay made their confirmation about the performance.
BTS posted their confirmation at the same time as the official announcement from the AMAs. BTS official Twitter account, @bts_bighit, stated that they would be bringing “My Universe” to the American Music Awards (AMAs) 2021 with their friends, Coldplay.

Immediately after, the British rock band, Coldplay, followed the confirmation by posting their announcement version. Coldplay official Twitter @coldplay mentioned that it would be their first time together ON STAGE with BTS at the 2021 American Music Awards (AMAs).
