Seo Bok is a Korean movie about the first human cloning in Korea. It is also marking the comeback of Gong Yoo and Park Bo Gum on the big screen. Seo Bok will be released on December 2 in South Korean theaters.

1. Written and directed by Lee Jong Yoo.
Seo Bok is written and directed by Lee Yong Joo. He is graduated from Yonsei University, which is one of the best universities in South Korea. Previously, he has successfully written and directed two movies. Those are Possessed or Living Death (2009) and Architecture 101 (2012). So, Seo Bok is his third movie that Lee Yong Joo worked on. The movie genre is action, thriller, sci-fi.
2. Xu Fu “Seo Bok” in a modern view.
The movie interprets the story of Xu Fu from a modern view. Xu Fu was from the Qin Dynasty and sent by Qin Shi Huang to find the secret elixir of immortality. He had trips through the ocean to find it. But then Xu Fu never returned from his last trip. It is unknown where exactly he landed, but various records stated that he landed and died in Japan. In Japan itself, Xu Fu is worshiped as a god named Jofoku. While in Korea, the legend of Xu Fu is called 서복 (Seo-Bok).
3. Gong Yoo and Park Bo Gum comeback with the movie Seo Bok.
Park Bo Gum’s role in Seo Bok marks his comeback on the big screen after Coin Locker Girl in 2015. Since August 31, 2020, Park Bo Gum is enlisted in the military service.
However, before leaving for military service, he had completed a K-drama titled Record Of Youth andtwo movies entitled Seo Bok and Wonderland.
While Gong Yoo’s last movie was Kim Ji Young: Born 1982 (2019), and the famous K-drama Goblin (2016). Gong Yoo’s comeback in Seo Bok this year is highly anticipated by his fans.
Moreover, his upcoming project in 2021 is a movie entitled Wonderland. The movie is also starring Park Bo Gum, Choi Woo Shik, and Bae Suzy. Further, he will lead in the Netflix Original series, The Silent Sea, starring Bae Doona and Lee Joo In.

Seo Bok has an intriguing storyline. Ki Heon (Gong Yoo), a former intelligence agent, was given a secret task as his last mission. His task is to protect Seo Bok (Park Bo Gum). Seo Bok is a test subject of stem cell cloning and genetic modification from the government’s top-secret project.
When there is an order to terminate Seo Bok, many people start to hunt the clone. Then, Ki Heon quickly realizes that Seo Bok may be more than just a clone. Further, Ki Heon gets in danger while protecting Seo Bok.
The captivating line in the trailer is when Seo-Bok curiously asked Ki Heon, “Why are you trying to protect me?”
5. Starring Jo Woo Jin and Jang Young Nam
Besides Gong Yoo and Park Bo Gum, the movie starring Jo Woo Jin and Jan Young Nam. Jo Woo Jin plays Chief Ahn, the head of Korean intelligence. Previously, he also worked with Gong Yoo in Guardian: The Lonely and Great God or known as Goblin. He plays as Kim Do Young, Yoo Shin Woo’s secretary.
Then, you will see Jang Young Nam plays Lim Se-Eun, the lead researcher who made Seobok. Previously, she plays as Park Haeng Ja, the head nurse at OK Psychiatric Hospital.
