Dream High was released in 2011, and it was believed to be a part of a project by JYP Entertainment. The story revolved around a group of students enrolling at Kirin High School of Art, and portrayed their work and struggle to become superstars.
It was the first drama where Taecyeon acting was finally recognized by the public, where he played a role as Jin Gook, a gifted dancer but a troublemaker at his original school.
