The newest Netflix Korean Original Series, ‘Squid Game,’ take the throne from ‘Sweet Home’ for Korean series. On September 21, ‘Squid Game’ became the #1 ranked show in the U.S. Netflix ‘Top 10 in U.S. today,’ beating ‘Sex Education’ and ‘Click Bait.’

2. Pop-up Playground at Itaewon

Itaewon stations have a pop-up playground which opens every day from 12 pm to 9 pm KST until September 26. Also, the hot pink stairs will make you feel like you are one of the ‘Squid Game’ participants in every step you take.

If you see the girl with the pigtails doll in the pop-up playground, and suddenly calling back the scene when the participants played the ‘Red Light, Green Light’ game, it means that ‘Squid Game’ has been stuck in your mind.

Not only that, but they also placed a giant gumball machine in the middle of the platform where you can get a ball and answer the question written inside. You need to post your answer on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtags #오겜월드 (Squid Game World) and #라떼최애골목놀이 (my favorite childhood game). If your answer is correct, you stand a chance to win a special merchandise set.

Don’t worry; there is no elimination if the answer is wrong, though.

4. The Real ‘Squid Game’ Giant Doll

For Malaysians, chi ku pang is a very familiar children’s game. Chi Ku Pang is essentially rock, paper, scissors game. However, it has pretty specific rules.

The initiator shouts out a combination of chi (scissors), ku (rock), or pang (paper) and makes a relevant shape with their hands. The opponent must show different shapes from the one mentioned by the initiator. The hands which fail to do so are eliminated from the game. This continues until someone has both hands eliminated.
