Gong Myung (공명) was born on May 26, 1994, in South Korea. Gaining popularity with his stage name, Gong Myung, his real name is actually Kim Dong Hyun (김동현). His younger brother is one of NCT members, Doyoung (real name Kim Dong Young).

He went to Topyeong High School. It is said that his parents sent him to an acting academy because they thought that it’d be helpful for his personality.

2. Gong Myung debut as an actor

As an actor, Gong Myung debuted with a web drama ‘After School Bokbulbok Season 1.’ At that time, he still used his real name. Later, he changed his stage name when he debuted as a Kpop idol.

3. Gong Myung is a Kpop idol

One of the facts about Gong Myung you should know is that he was a member of Kpop boy group. In 2018, Gong Myung debuted with the Kpop boy group 5urprise under Fantagio Entertainment. His role in the group is as the vocalist.

Besides Gong Myung, other members of the Kpop boy group 5urprise are also actors. They were Seo Kang Joon, Yoo Il, Kang Tae Oh, Lee Tae Hwan. However, in March 2020, 5urprise contract expired, and the members decided to part ways.

Gong Myung himself left Fantagio and moved to Saram Entertainment until now.
