The Korean pop stars successfully hit No.1 on Billboard Hot 100 with their songs Dynamite, Savage Love (Jawsh 685, Jason Derulo, and BTS), Life Goes On, Butter, and Permission to Dance. “Permission to dance” becomes the group’s fifth song to top the chart, marking BTS one of the artists that have the most No. 1 hits on the #Hot100.
3. Fastest time to achieve No.1 on #Hot100 with five hits.
BTS achieved its five No.1 hits on the #Hot100 for ten months and two weeks, and it becomes the fastest time since Michael Jackson’s five No.1 hits over nine months and two weeks in 1987-1988.
4. BTS becomes the first act to replace itself at No.1 on Billboard chart in 2021.
Following the BTS “Permission to Dance” debuts at No.1, replaces “Butter” (which drops to No. 7) on #Hot100, its markings the septet’s fifth No. 1 hit and the first act to replace itself at No. 1 since the Beatles (1964), Boyz II Men (1994), Outkast (2004), Black Eyed Peas (2009), and Drake in 2018.
