Veteran and oscar-winning Korean actress Youn Yuh Jung is finally leaving Hook Entertainment agency. Following its massive scandal with Lee Seung Gi, Hook Entertainment has lost its two central pillars and is eventually bound to doom. So, what will happen to the company and CEO Kwon Jin Young? Will she be able to save her agency? Check out the following complete reports.
Oscar-Winning Actress Youn Yuh Jung Leaving Hook Entertainment Agency After Its Massive Scandal
While Hook Entertainment ship is slowly sinking with its police raid and the CEO’s massive scandal with Lee Seung Gi, it doesn’t take long until veteran actress Youn Yuh Jung enters the scene for a powerful finishing blow.
On December 5, Korean media reported that veteran and oscar-winning actress Youn Yuh Jung was finally leaving Hook Entertainment agency for good. The announcement came from the agency’s official statement revealing the contract termination of actress Youn Yuh Jung.
“Hello, this is Hook Entertainment.
We would like to inform you that our exclusive contract with Youn Yuh Jung, who’s been with us since March 2017, has now expired.
From now on, we will continue cheering her on so we can meet her again through great projects in good health.
Thank you.”

Youn Yuh Jung Leaving the Agency After 5 Years of Cooperation
Further in the report, Hook Entertainment stated that Youn Yuh Jung had been with the agency since 2017. It means the veteran actress is leaving Hook Entertainment after 5 years of exclusive contract.
This is no wonder, especially with the severity of the Hook Entertainment scandal involving CEO Kwon Jin Young and one of the company’s main artists Lee Seung Gi.
Previously, Hook Entertainment denied Youn Yuh Jung’s intention to leave. They even revealed that Youn Yuh Jung had apparently been verbally renewing her contract based on a long-time trust.
Now, it is essential to pay attention that “trust” is such a crucial word for Youn Yuh Jung’s cooperation with Hook Entertainment. That is why the recent fraud scandal with Lee Seung Gi must have dealt irreparable damage to her relationship with the agency.
And seeing how far the trust is broken, it is perfectly understandable that veteran actress Youn Yuh Jung decided to leave Hook Entertainment. That is especially considering that her reputation far exceeds all the agency’s existing actors.
Severe Scandal + Losing Its PRIMARY Pillars: Hook Entertainment is DOOMED
Hook Entertainment is currently facing the most unfathomable crisis after years of operating in the entertainment industry.
Recently, the company’s reputation skyrocketed after Youn Yuh Jung won the Academy Awards of Best Supporting Actress in 2021, and Lee Seung Gi landed endless successful drama and movie projects.
However, it was the agency’s CEO, Kwon Jin Young herself, who had damaged her own company’s hard-earned reputation. She deceived one of the agency’s most successful artists, Lee Seung Gi, to the extent of unfair mistreatments, gaslighting, and even deception regarding Lee Seung Gi’s music project revenues.
In addition, CEO Kwon Jin Young has proved to continuously abuse her power within and outside the agency. This power abuse, topped with the company’s alleged ties to Park Min Young’s ex-boyfriend—a suspected shady businessman—Kang Jong Hyun, and the recent police raid on the company building, had caused Hook Entertainment’s reputation to crash beyond repair.
Today, as a powerful finishing blow to the company’s sinking ship, its most prominent actress Youn Yuh Jung is finally leaving the agency. It means Hook Entertainment has now lost two of its main pillars that keep them standing. Without Youn Yuh Jung and Lee Seung Gi, Hook Entertainment is bound to doom.
Will Park Min Young Join the Party?
At last, the final question is: will Park Min Young join the party and leave the agency as well? After all, it was only last year since she left the prestigious agency Namoo Actors to join Hook Entertainment. So, was it fate or simply a bad decision?
