Will BTS Members Join Military Service Together in 2025?

The Septet KPop Boy Group, Bangtan Sonyeondan, or known well as BTS, has become an international headline worldwide. Recently, BTS’ song Dynamite topping the Billboard Charts, and they have become South Korea’s youth representative encouraging youth all over the world through their speeches.

As a KPop phenomenon, BTS has accomplished many achievements that have helped the entertainment industry in South Korea be known globally. They have attracted the international community to get to know South Korea more, such as culture, language, tourism, products, and also Kpop music, which, of course, can help the South Korean economy.

Even the world organization, UNICEF, chose them as youth representatives to help young people worldwide to love themselves and make the world better through their music.

Fans worried to have seven years without BTS

However, amid the euphoria of BTS’ achievements, BTS members’ military service enlistment schedule is still a hot topic. According to the current law, Kim Seok Jin, the oldest member born in 1992, should enter the military service at the end of next year.

Meanwhile, the youngest member of BTS, Jungkook, will still have some years before serving the military. So, there is a possibility that global fans of BTS “ARMY” will not see BTS members in complete form for seven years.

Despite BTS global achievements, military enlistment is still applied for BTS, as the current law does not have Kpop artists for military service exempt. Considering BTS global achievements, the South Korean government and politicians discuss other possibilities for delaying BTS’s military enlistment.

Possibility of BTS military enlistment by 2025

Not all South Korean people agree for BTS military service exemption. Therefore, the South Korean government and politicians are reportedly discussing the possibility of BTS military service in 2025.

If all BTS members enlistment together. Kim Seok Jin will join the military simultaneously as other BTS members Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and of course, the Golden Maknae, Jungkook.

Petition for BTS members military service together

An ARMY of BTS fan from Ukraina, Oksana Novitska, made a petition for BTS titled“ALLOW BTS MEMBERS TO GO THROUGH MILITARY SERVICE TOGETHER.”

The petition has a target of 75.000 signatures. Per October 1st, 72.715 people have signed the petition. Later on, the petition will be sent to President Jae-In Moon, Mr. Nak-Yon Lee (Government, Prime Minister), and Mr. Won-soon Park (Mayor of Seoul).
