Here Are the 20th Korean Music Awards 2023 Winners
250, NewJeans, and Younha Won Most Awards at KMA 2023
The Korean Popular Music award is based on musical achievement rather than popularity. The KMA 2023 winners were selected from nominees announced last February by 54 judges, which included the organization’s chairman, Kim Chang Nam, and famous music critics.
South Korean music producer and DJ 250 won four awards at the Korea Music Award 2023. He gained positive reviews from critics and fans for his latest album, “PPONG.” and modernized the trot sound. This year, he took home four awards with his latest album and song, including the “Artist of the Year Award,” “Album of the Year Award,” “Best Electronic Album Award,” and “Best Electronic Song Award.”
NewJeans, Younha, and AKMU’s Lee Chan Hyuk emerged as the winners in the Kpop and Pop music categories. Notably, among the winners of the Korea Music Awards, NewJeans stood out as the second most awarded artist, having won three prestigious awards: “Rookie of The Year,” “Best KPop Album Award,” and “Best KPop Song Award.”
Solo artist Younha also won two awards, including the “Best Pop Song Award” and “Song of the Year Award.”
