Following the second questioning process of “Parasite” actor Lee Sun Kyun, the prominent rapper of BIGBANG, G-Dragon (GD), also underwent his first police investigation into the recent drug scandal.
On November 6 at 1:23 PM, KST, GD voluntarily visited the Narcotics Unit of the Regional Investigation Department at Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency. Dressed in a striped navy suit and sporting a pair of limited-edition JACQUES MARIE MAGE glasses, priced at 979 USD, BIGBANG G-Dragon entered the police agency with powerful strides and a confident smile, as he once promised.
During this visit, the prominent rapper went through a 4-hour interrogation before he eventually addressed the media.
In this initial scandal investigation, the police conducted a preliminary drug test on G-Dragon (GD). The purpose of this test was to determine whether he was on any medication. Therefore, they collected urine and hair samples from BIGBANG G-Dragon and submitted them to the National Forensic Service for a detailed analysis.
Along with the preliminary drug test, the police also questioned GD regarding his involvement in the recent drug scandal. But, once again, GD strongly expressed his belief that he had nothing to do with the drug scandal.

After the police received the results from the National Forensic Service, the liver drug test came back negative. It means that G-Dragon did not show any signs of illegal substance abuse.
Along with the negative drug test result, G-Dragon also revealed he had submitted his hair during the police investigation. Regarding his mobile phone, GD stated he hadn’t yet submitted it but would do so if the police deemed it necessary. Besides, G-Dragon had also stated to the police that he would comply with any investigation process as needed.

Additionally, BIGBANG G-Dragon also stated that there had been no evidence presented against him in the initial police investigation. And GD also believed that any proof of his involvement in the drug scandal would be impossible in the future.
Still, G-Dragon also stated that the police investigation was not without reason. After all, the officials were merely doing their jobs without ill intentions.
Yet again, GD expressed complete confidence in his non-involvement in the drug scandal. He also stated he had nothing to do with the female manager and the alleged drug-dealing doctor mentioned in the case.
“I don’t see it as unreasonable. The police aren’t out to get me; they’re just following up based on someone’s statements. And I’m here to clear my name because that’s what my job demands — to show that there’s no truth to these accusations.
So no, I don’t think it’s unfair. Anyway, I’m just hoping things turn out right and that no one keeps pushing claims that aren’t backed up by facts.
