On January 6, the 38th Golden Disc Awards 2024 took place at the Jakarta International Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia. Sung Si Kyung and Cha Eun Woo hosted the event, bringing their charm and charisma to the stage.
Furthermore, numerous acclaimed Kpop groups delivered captivating performances that lit up the stage, leaving a lasting impression and making the event a remarkable triumph. From renowned Kpop group Stray Kids to rookie girl group NewJeans took the stage by storm. Their energetic and thrilling acts enthralled the audience, further enhancing the electric atmosphere of the evening.
The highly anticipated ceremony celebrated the outstanding achievements in South Korean music from mid-November 2022 to early November 2023. The winners were chosen from a pool of nominees based on a combination of panelist evaluations 40% and sales figures 60%. However, the ‘Most Popular Artist Award’ was exclusively determined through online voting for 100%.
This year, the Kpop boy group SEVENTEEN swept up numerous awards, including the prestigious Daesang for Album of the Year, the coveted Best Digital Song (Bonsang), and Best Album (Bonsang) accolades.
