The latest update on the BTS Suga DUI scandal has shown a very confusing detail that goes against everything that’s been circulating in the public. The police have recently mentioned a new detail in the BTS Suga DUI drunk driving incident that will change everything about the case entirely. And yet, does it only prove the incompetence of Korean media or the police instead? Dive deep into the story with us below.
BTS Suga to Face Prosecution for DUI Drunk Driving Incident Scandal This Week
After a series of massive false CCTV controversies and blown-up reactions from the public, BTS rapper-producer Suga has expressed his utmost regret and apology in a lengthy statement. However, it doesn’t mean that the legal process will simply stop for BTS Suga to face the consequences of his irresponsible DUI drunk driving incident.
The latest update from the police regarding this DUI case stated that they would immediately transfer BTS Suga to the prosecution office.
On August 26, Korean media outlet TV Chosun reported that BTS Suga would be facing an official prosecution process following his drunk driving incident as early as this week. The legal charges that the BTS rapper faces will be the violation of the Road Traffic Act, following his irresponsible action of driving under drunk conditions with a previously reported BAC level of 0.0227%.
The Yongsan Police Station also revealed that they had completed all the BTS Suga DUI case scandal investigations. Therefore, there was no need for the genius rapper-producer to face additional police summons.
More Confusing Update on the Case: Incompetence of Korean Media or the Police?
On the other hand, TV Chosun also delivered another confusing update on the DUI case scandal involving BTS Suga.
Further in the statement, Yongsan Police also provided an update regarding the electric scooter that BTS Suga drove in the DUI drunk driving incident. According to the report, the police had rechecked the details of this electric scooter with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport. Then, they found out that Suga’s electric scooter did not require a license plate in the first place.
“Regarding the suspicion of not having a license plate attached to the scooter, the police stated that after inquiring with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, it was confirmed that it was not originally required to have one.”
TV Chosun’s report.
And so, this confusing update in the BTS Suga DUI case calls for more questionable acts from both Korean media and police.
Previously, Korean media had widely circulated that BTS Suga’s electric scooter was considered a motorized bicycle. It means that he would have to face severe criminal charges for driving the vehicle in a drunk condition.
However, with the confusing update that BTS Suga used an electric scooter that doesn’t require a license plate, does it mean that Korean media and the police had once again given a false report to the public? Does it only prove their incompetence in handling high-profile cases involving global megastars like BTS Suga?
