Korean Broadcasting Awards
The Korean Broadcasting Awards was established in 1973. It honors broadcasting programs, broadcasters, and celebrities who have created valuable, helpful, and entertaining content for viewers. This recognition is essential in today’s media competition, where audiences are presented with various programs and news options.
The 51st Korean Broadcasting Awards ceremony took place at the KBS TV Open Public Hall and was broadcast live on SBS TV.
This year, the Korean Broadcasting Awards selected 30 programs in 25 categories and 18 individuals for the grand prize and work awards. The winners were announced in early August, and the grand prize winners (Daesang) were announced on the day of the awarding ceremony.
The 51st Korean Broadcasting Awards presented many outstanding winners. In television dramas, the most prominent show was SBS’s “Revenant,” which, along with its lead actress Kim Tae-ri and writer Kim Eun-hee, won a total of three awards. Additionally, the popular drama “My Dearest” and the exciting variety shows “Adventure by Accident”and “Golden Girls” also received multiple awards.
