With more commotions of NewJeans media play and contract termination issues, ADOR finally released an official statement. Now, what did the company say? And was everything really a media play? Read on for an in-depth discussion of the controversy.
Alleged Media Play Follows NewJeans Contract Termination Warning to HYBE & ADOR
NewJeans has shaken the entire Kpop community with a daring move, warning HYBE ADOR with a contract termination statement should the company fail to meet their demands. And following this move, another alleged media play reportedly appeared, attacking one of the family members of NewJeans Hyein.
On November 14, Korean media outlets reported that D Company, a KOSDAQ-listed business, had nominated the uncle of NewJeans member Hyein as an internal director. But a while after, the company suddenly withdrew the nomination.
In addition to the drama, rumors began circulating that former ADOR CEO Min Heejin was in talks with D Company about an investment deal. This deal was related to HYBE’s previous accusations that Min Heejin was trying to leave the company.
However, Min Heejin quickly stepped up to squash the rumors. The NewJeans producer firmly denied any involvement with D Company or other investors. She stated these claims were “baseless” and part of a smear campaign.
Yet, D Company then went on to replace its entire list of internal director nominees, raising more eyebrows.
Responding to this allegation, NewJeans also addressed the issue along with the contract termination statement to ADOR,
“Currently, baseless rumors about the families and relatives of NewJeans members are spreading. However, NewJeans has no connection to these rumors.
NewJeans.
If anyone attempts to tarnish our image by spreading false information, we will respond firmly.”
The above controversy resulted in fans speculating that HYBE is conducting another media play intended to distract or create tension around the NewJeans and ADOR contract termination dispute.

With all the commotions related to NewJeans contract termination warning and HYBE’s alleged media play, ADOR eventually responded in an official statement. The company promises to the public that they will try their best to ensure NewJeans can stay with them.
Additionally, ADOR denied all the rumors and controversy related to Hyein’s uncle.
“We received the official notice earlier this morning and are currently reviewing it to understand the specific requests. We will make every effort to address the concerns wisely to continue our partnership with the artists.
Regarding inquiries about a listed company, including questions related to NewJeans members’ family connections and whether Director Min Hee-jin met with that company, we inform you that Director Min has reiterated that such claims are ‘groundless.’”
ADOR.
While fans remain skeptical about ADOR’s statement, let’s hope this situation leads to the best outcome for everyone involved.
