Previously, in May 2021, AMX Entertainment had announced the first member of the new Kpop girl group, named Hyejin. She was born in early 2002, which means she is now 19 years old and around the same age as many other rookies debuting this year.

The public started to raise concerns when AMX Entertainment announced the second member of the new Kpop girl group, Kim Ha Eun.

Kim Ha Eun, 12-Year-Old Member of AMX NEWKIDS
She was a child model and a Kdrama extra. Furthermore, she can also play multiple musical instruments, including guitar and piano. And to complete the package, she is gorgeous and knows taekwondo.
So, what’s the problem? It’s her age. Kim Ha Eun was born in September 2008, meaning that now she is still 12 years old.
The middle schooler will be the dancer in the new Kpop girl group and had been reportedly trained for two years. It means that Kim Hae Eun started training in the Idol industry when she was only 10 years old.
While it may be true that there are rookies who debuted at the age of 14 and 15 years old, having a child debuted before hitting their teenage years is deemed too preposterous.
Other possible young members of AMX NEWKIDS besides Kim Ha Eun are Minju (13 years old), Seoyoon (14 years old), and Gaeun (16 years old).

Kpop Fans Calling to Stop Debuting Children
The news of AMEX NEWKIDS Kim Ha Eun’s debut in her 12 years old of age shocked the public, and it’s not in a positive way.
A 12-year-old member is considered too young to be ready for the mentally challenging Kpop industry, even when she’s the group’s maknae. Fans are worried that debuting in such a young age will not be good for the girl’s mental and physical health. Therefore, they believe that the company should “free” Kim Ha Eun.
She is starting a career at the age of 12 in an industry that s3xualizes people (including minors) and many people in this industry that join to fulfil their dreams end up being mistr3ated. I am genuinely worried for her future and for her mental and physical health

Kim Ha Eun’s skill is excellently exhibited in the following video of AMX NEWKIDS performing (G)I-DLE‘s “Luv U” cover. She is the dancer who’s wearing a red jacket and starts the song in the center. Indeed, she has fascinating talents that are on par with other idols. Still, the public believes that Kim Ha Eun shouldn’t be debuting at such a young age.
