Previously, ADOR CEO Min Heejin revealed that it had always been the main objective of HYBE Chairmain Bang Si Hyuk to defeat aespa by debuting new girl groups, including NewJeans and LE SSERAFIM.

Along with the ongoing dispute with ADOR CEO Min Heejin, it has been a public secret that HYBE and SM Entertainment have never been in friendly terms. Last year, HYBE even participated in the attempt of taking over SM Entertainment under its multi-label company. However, the attempt failed with mutual agreement from both sides.
