76th Anniversary of United Nations
Every year, the anniversary of United Nations or UN Day is celebrated worldwide on October 24. To celebrate UN Day, the world organization annually held a UN Day Concert.

Further, this year’s UN Day concert theme is “Building Back Together for Peace and Prosperity.” The special occasion took place at UN Headquarters on Thursday, October 21, 2021 (EST).

Due to the pandemic, only limited guests attended the event, following social distancing protocols. In addition, the concert combined pre-recorded shows and live shows.
For this year, the Republic of South Korea became the sponsor for the UN Day Concert. Besides celebrating the anniversary of the UN, it also marks the 30th anniversary of South Korea’s membership in the United Nations.
Several South Korean artists and musicians took part in the UN Day Concert. They are; Youngok Shin (soprano), Youngmi Kim (soprano), Hyun-Sung Ahn (conductor), Yungwook Yoo (piano), the Goyang Philharmonic Orchestra, Angela Chun and Jennifer Chun (violin), and aespa.
