After V’s KTH1, ARMYs Got Spoiler from Jungkook’s JJK1

ARMYs are eagerly waiting for two mixtapes in the same time. The first one, is V’s first mixtape, KTH1, and the second one is Jeon Jungkook’s mixtape or so-called JJK1. Here is all you need to know about JJK1 so far, from the tracks and MVs to release date.

All about Jungkook’s mixtape, JJK1

1. JJK1 tracks and MVs

In the BE-hind Story, Jungkook expressed his expectation for Jungkook’s mixtape, JJK1. He said that in JJK1, there will be three main tracks all with their own music videos.

“I want to release a mixtape like this: There are three main tracks in total and they all have MVs of their own and they each have their own choreography but in different styles.”

2. Decalcomania

On his birthday in 2019, the golden maknae gave a preview of his English song Decalcomania. Two years have passed since then, but there is no news for the release. Therefore, ARMYs are wondering if Decalcomania is one of the tracks in Jungkook’s first mixtape, JJK1.

3. Stay and Your Eyes Tell

Although Decalcomania has not been confirmed for JJK1, ARMYs have heard two tracks from Jungkook’s mixtape. The upbeat dance-pop track, Stay, from BTS BE album was originally intended for JJK1.

“We planned to put a different song on the album, but after V heard it, he said, ‘This song that Jung Kook wrote is really good’, and then the other members all listened, said it was better than the other one, and somehow (laughs) “Stay” made it into the album.”

Besides, Your Eyes Tell from BTS’ 4^th Japanese studio album, Map of the Soul: 7 ~ The Journey, was supposed to be in JJK1. The track became the theme song for a Japanese film of the same title.

4. JJK1 release date

Some Kpop stars prefer to release all tracks at once, sometimes with a pre-release track in prior. However, during BTS’ Ask Anything chat, Jungkook revealed that he would like to release songs one by one in a short time frame.

In BE-Hind Story, both V and Jungkook talked about their mixtapes. If V’s mixtape KTH1, with 13 tracks, is nearly done, it will be dropped before JJK1.

5. Apple Music Update

Apple Music has updated the profile of Jungkook playing violin alongside V. We learned from Suga’s mixtape that if Apple Music changes the profile picture, a big chance is the mixtape will be out very soon. Therefore, ARMYs started speculating that a big chance for us to enjoy V’s first mixtape, KTH1 or Jungkook’s mixtape JJK1, or even a ‘Taekook subunit.’
