On August 12, Korean media reported Coupang Play had released the Director’s Cut version of “Anna” Korean drama starring Bae Suzy. The Director’s Cut version of “Anna” will show 8 episodes of the original version from the production team.
This release is to make up for the recent issue and controversy revolving around Bae Suzy “Anna” Korean drama.
Previously, director Lee Joo Young raised an issue, demanding her name taken down from “Anna” Korean drama credits. Apparently, Coupang Play had made unconsented revisions and edited the entire project.
Therefore, the current version of Bae Suzy “Anna” Korean drama has only 6 episodes with a different plot from the original production.
Following the director’s anger and request, editing director Kim Jung Hoon and 6 more staff members joined the protests and demanded the same request. They did not want their names to appear on a project they didn’t work on.
