August 2023 TOP 50 Individual Kpop Idol Brand Reputation Rankings

The Korean Business Research Institute has unveiled the individual Kpop idol brand reputation rankings for August 2023. Minji from NewJeans has secured the top position as the most popular female Kpop idol this month. Let’s explore the list of this month’s top 50 popular female and male idols.

NewJeans Minji Tops August 2023 Individual Kpop Idol Brand Reputation Rankings

The Korean Business Research Institute analyzed 96,997,747 data points related to idol personal brands from July 24, 2023, to August 24, 2023. The study measured the brand reputation index by examining consumers’ participation, media presence, communication, and community engagement. This number represents a 14.14% increase compared to the data points of brand data analyzed in July.

As a result of this analysis, Minji from NewJeans, Jungkook from BTS, Hanni from NewJeans, Haerin from NewJeans, and Jimin from BTS took the spotlight and emerged as the top five most popular individual Kpop idols in August 2023.

1. NewJeans Minji

According to the result, New Jeans’ Minji attained the top spot in the idol personal brand reputation ranking for August 2023. Her brand reputation index rose by 124.30%, from 2,058,076 in July to 4,616,273 in August.

The link analysis indicated strong associations with terms such as “refreshing,” “cute,” and “growing.” On the other hand, the keyword analysis revealed strong connections to “Super Shy, ETA, Billboard.” Additionally, the brand reported an impressive 93.97% positivity rate.

2. BTS Jungkook

Jungkook’s brand reputation index fell by 1.55% from 4,484,639 in July to 4,415,051 in August. However, “Seven” by Jungkook remained at No. 1 on both the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts for the fifth consecutive week. This achievement makes him the first Korean solo artist to top either chart for five weeks. Furthermore, “Seven” was also honored as the Song of the Summer at the 2023 Bulletin Awards.

3. NewJeans Hanni
