The Korean Business Research Institute conducted a thorough analysis to evaluate the brand reputation of new idol groups in August 2023. This analysis specifically focused on boy and girl groups that debuted between 2022 and the current year. This analysis aims to provide valuable insights to consumers, industry professionals, and fans regarding these idol groups’ increasing popularity and prominence in the industry.
During the analysis period from July 1 to August 1, 2023, the institute collected a substantial amount of data, precisely 22,749,511 brand data points. These brand data points represent a 17.39 percent increase from the data collected in July, which amounted to 19,378,972 data points.
Moreover, the institute considered various factors such as brand consumer participation, media coverage, communication, and community engagement to determine the brand reputation index of the rookie idol groups.
Based on the analysis, NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM, ZEROBASEONE, NMIXX, and H1-Key emerged as the top five groups in terms of brand reputation. This recognition signifies their status as the most popular Kpop rookie idol groups in August 2023.
