BIGBANG’s rapper-songwriter G-Dragon (GD) underwent comprehensive drug test to clear his name in the scandal. Following the negative result for the drug test on his hair, more tests on his fingernails and toenails also came back negative for drugs.
On November 21, the National Forensic Service revealed to have recently informed the Incheon Police Agency’s drug crime investigation team about the BIGBANG G-Dragon (GD) drug test. According to the NFS, the detailed analysis of GD’s fingernails and toenails revealed negative reactions to any trace of drugs.
In addition to the previously negative hair test result, G-Dragon (GD) has successfully proved his innocence in the drug scandal controversy. These results show detailed analysis that GD had not taken any illegal substances for at least over a year.
And with this revelation, the blaming game begins among the officials related to the case.
The Blaming Game Begins Due to the Failed Investigation in the Drug Scandal
While the police refused to comment further on G-Dragon’s drug test result, they claimed they must proactively contact the National Forensic Service. That is because, according to the police, the test and analysis took longer than they had all expected, especially when they wanted to close the case soon.
“Disclosing the test result is impossible, but we had reached out to the National Forensic Service first because the analysis was taking so long, and we all had been waiting for the result.”

This, however, contradicts the National Forensic Service’s statement that they had provided the result to the police the day before.
Previously, the police arrested BIGBANG G-Dragon (GD) based on the statement from the room salon manager arrested in the drug scandal. However, GD denied his involvement in the case and confidently faced the investigation process.
Then, both GD’s reagent and hair test results showed negative traces of illegal drugs. And today, the tests on his fingernails and toenails showed the same outcome. And so, the public blamed the police for booking GD without clear evidence.
But in the end, the police turned to the media because of a ‘hasty revelation’. They have changed their statement from claiming to have clear evidence to prove the charge to allegedly blaming the media.

BIGBANG G-Dragon was Confident of His Innocence: A Positive Test was Impossible
After all the drug test results revealed BIGBANG G-Dragon (GD)’s innocence in the drug scandal, Yonhap News TV posted a previously unreleased conversation during their exclusive interview.
During the interview, BIGBANG G-Dragon (GD) stated that he had never turned to drugs to relieve his stress. He had found his own stress-reliever methods, but they had never involved illegal substances.
“I’m not sure what others think about celebrities, but I don’t follow that path. I find different ways to deal with stress or emptiness and have been figuring out these ways by myself. But it’s important to note that these ways should never involve drugs.
I have never used drugs.”
