Black Knight is an upcoming Netflix Korean sci-fi drama based on a popular webtoon, Taekbaegisa (Delivery Knight), by Lee Yoon Kyun.
The plot takes place in a devastated dystopian future in the year 2071, where severe air pollution has almost brought the world to its downfall. And there’s only 1% of the population has survived the calamity.
New rules have been applied in this new world, and strict social classes have emerged. Moreover, due to high levels of air pollution, people are rarely venturing outdoors as it may pose a risk to their health and life. Therefore, individuals rely on oxygen supplies and respirators to survive.
The survival of the inhabitants depends on the organization of deliverymen, Black Knight. However, they’re different from ordinary deliverymen. In the daylight, they are prepared to risk their lives to deliver crucial things such as oxygen and daily necessities to the people in their regions.
At night, they assist the refugees, and they also contemplate ways to improve their own lives. In addition, these deliverymen also have a dangerous mission to save the inhabitants from the corrupt Cheonmyeong Group.
2. Written and Directed by the Hit Korean Movie Cold Eyes Director
Cho Ui Seok, a well-known director and screenwriter, helmed the Netflix Korean sci-fi drama series Black Knight. Cho Ui Seok has an outstanding track record with popular projects, including the hit film Cold Eyes, starring Sol Kyung Go, Jung Woo Song, and Han Hyo Joo. Cold Eyes, an action thriller released in 2013, drew in 2.17 million moviegoers in its first week and ended up with over 5 million admissions by the end of its run.

The Black Knight Netflix Korean drama will have Kim Woo Bin, Song Seung Heon, Esom, and Kang Yoo Seok as the main cast members:

Choi Ui Seok is a famous and talented South Korean director. Previously, he has worked with many prominent actors, such as Lee Byung Hun, Kang Dong Won, Jung Woo Sung, Han Hyu Joo, Lee Junho, and more.
The talented director worked with Kim Woo Bin in the Korean movie Master in 2016. In this film, he also worked with Jin Kyung. Meanwhile, the director worked with Song Seun Heon in his directorial debut, Make it Big, in 2002.
5. BLACK KNIGHT Netflix Release Date & Episodes
The release date of the upcoming Netflix sci-fi series Black Knight is set for Friday, May 12. The action-thriller series will consist of 6 episodes.
