After weeks of speculation and debate for who will collaborate with BLACKPINK, the answer is officially announced! Jisoo, Jennie, Rose, Lisa, and Selena Gomez are confirmed to have collaboration for BLACKPINK upcoming single.

Reportedly, YG said, “These two artists, who have been fans of one another for a long time, have finally made their dreams come true with this collaboration. BLACKPINK expresses their thanks to Selena for participating in this album and is excited to share the new song with fans.”
“So SO excited to announce @BlackPinkOfficial and I have a new song coming out August 28th,” the 28-year-old singer wrote on her social media on August 11.
Second Collab with American Popstar in 2020
The collaboration of BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez will be recorded as the second collab with American pop star in 2020, following their team up with Lady Gaga in Sour Candy for her Chromatica album.
Selena Gomez Rare
As for Gomez, it won’t be her first collab as she collaborated with Trevor Daniel earlier this year for Past Life.
Still this year, in January, Gomez released her third studio album Rare. NME said in album review, “Rare is a beautifully confident return from one of pop’s most underrated stars and quietly defiant wrestling back of the narrative surrounding her.”

BLACKPINK – Selena Gomez collaborates for the quartet’s second single, which is scheduled to be released on August 28, at 1 pm KST. BLACKPINK upcoming single, which we haven’t known the title yet, will follow the success of How You Like That, the lead single of BLACKPINK – The Album.
