BTS and Stray Kids Won MTV Europe Music Awards 2020

Two South Korean Kpop boy groups, BTS and Stray Kids, won awards at the 2020 MTV European Music Awards (EMAs). The boys took home five awards in total at MTV EMAs 2020.

BTS and Stray Kids Won MTV Europe Music Awards 2020

MTV Europe Music Awards 2020 was aired on Sunday night (11/8). Due to the pandemic, the annual event was broadcasted from multiple cities. Moreover, KPop lovers were excited as their Kpop idols, BTS, won four awards on MTS EMAs, while Stray Kids won an award, which is their first time for a non-Asian award.

BTS won four awards at MTV Europe Music Awards 2020

The South Korean septet Kpop boy group BTS took home four awards for “Best Song,” “Best Group,” “Best Virtual Live,” and “Biggest Fans” categories.

For the “Best Song” category, BTS “Dynamite” won over DaBaby feat. Roddy Ricch “Rockstar,” Dua Lipa “Don’t Start Now,” Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande “Rain on Me,” Roddy Ricch “The Box,” and The Weeknd “Blinding Lights.”

As for the “Best Group” category, BTS won over 5 Seconds of Summer, BLACKPINK, Chloe x Halle, CNCO, and Little Mix.

Also, BTS won the “Biggest Fans” category. Not to forget, BTS Suga delivered a warm thankful message to BTS fans, ARMY.

Moreover, BTS also won MTV Europe Best Virtual Award 2020 with Bang Bang Con: The Live.

As a result of winning four awards at the 2020 MTV EMAs, BTS has collected ten awards since 2015. Further, this also marks them as the second group with the most award at MTV Europe Awards beside Linkin Park.

Also, BTS is now the group with most wins in the “Best Group” category for three consecutive years at MTV EMAs History.

This year Stray Kids have won their first global award at MTV EMAs. They won the “Best Korean Act” category and won over ASTRO, EVERGLOW, KARD, and VICTON.
