Just like every year when BTS celebrate their debut anniversary, they’ll give surprises to ARMY. Although two members currently serve in the military, they don’t miss sending ARMY a heartfelt handwritten letter like the previous years. Not only writing a handwritten letter, j-hope also released a rock version of Arson from his solo album Jack in the Box.

RM’s Letter

The leader of BTS, Kim Namjoon (RM) also shared a heartfelt letter not only in one online platform, but two. He took Weverse community and Instagram to share his feelings about hitting the big 10. Alongside the picture of his letters, the spoiler king is sure to share some nostalgic photos of the group and his adorable selfie to keep the BTS FESTA 2023 vibe.

They said that 10 years can change mountains or rivers, and it’s true. There were countless ups and downs. There were many dawns that I don’t even remember. I’m a different person at 30, from who I was at 20. Now, I find my past self even more unfamiliar.
It’s such a special thing, to feel as if you have been entranced by words. ‘Til a noun has become a pronoun. ‘Til bulletproof becomes BTS, army becomes ARMY… There were plenty of wind, and rain, and love. Perhaps, we have built our own world, one that no one can understand.
Thanks to ARMY and the many people who have helped us, we were able to experience something special, that we won’t be able to experience again. Looking back, even as I immerse myself in recollection, I’ve become accustomed to breaking through many doors without rest. Even now, I’m still trying to guess at our 2nd chapter. It feels like we will be able to become anything. The worries I had when I was 17, and 20, as well as the double-sidedness of things, all still stand.
As I slowly become an adult, I’ve learnt that there are many things in the world that cannot be explained with words or writings. And, that things that seem like they will never change, will do so some day. Also, that the birth of just a single “name,” needs the love and strength of so, so many people.
I’m still rather inadequate. Perhaps even in the future, things will continue to feel unfamiliar, insecure, even painful. But I will try to improve. Together, but separate, far, but near. I hope that I will have you all, and that you all will also have me. The members, the staff, family, and friends! And ARMY! You all have worked so hard.
Let’s live well together, in the next 10 years too. In this damned world! I love you.

Jimin’s Letter

On June 13 around the same time as RM shared the letter, Jimin updated on Weverse community with a heartfelt letter. He penned down a few thoughts about BTS 10th anniversary, saying,

I can’t believe that I’m 29 when I first met you at 19.

I just miss you, guys!
In the past, I was wondering how it would be when it would be 10 or 20 years for us.
I don’t think there’s much difference LOL.
Actually, it’s even better.
What should I say? I think I’m a little emotional because I was watching Jin Hyung on Suchwita just now but, it’s just great.
Rather than feeling sad, should I say that I’m happy because I feel like I’m getting more and more things with you?
It might sound weird to say this

It’s just like, “Wow… so we’re here now.”

No, it’s not this. I can’t express it in words.
To tell you the truth, I was a little depressed at first because it seemed like the time we spent together stopped since last year, but it wasn’t like that.
We’re just thinking about each other in our own places, thinking about what we can do right now, and continuing to try and do things together.
So I’m totally happy these days.
Of course, I miss you more and more.
I wonder how you’ve been doing and what concerns you have.
I’m so curious, but I’m sorry I couldn’t come often.
But I think about you continuously.
I think I said that a lot.
8 years is both a long and short time… 9 years is both….
But to have the 10th year approaching feels different.

Still on the anniversary date, June 13 at 6.33 PM KST, BTS oldest member updated on Weverse community, assuring ARMY that he will be with ARMY next year. Although he missed the BTS FESTA 2023 celebration, he will surely celebrate the festive BTS FESTA in 2024 with ARMY.

Hello, I’m Jin

Thanks to our ARMYs, we’re celebrating our 10th anniversary

There’s a saying that mountains and rivers change in 10 years. It’s amazing that the love between BTS and ARMY doesn’t change

I also want to give you some contents for the 10th anniversary.. I’m just sad that I can’t be with you. I should have filmed more contents before I joined the army.. I don’t know how to express my apologiesㅠㅠ

As far as I know, the remaining members are working hard on the 10th anniversary contents. With 365 days left in the military and a year left, I’ll go to the company and see you through Weverse Live instead of going home as soon as I’m discharged.

Of course, it’s early so I can stay home and come back, but I won’t make any plans and I’ll be with you on the 11th anniversary

I’m so happy to say this at least haha

Being different is what V specializes. While other members penned their BTS FESTA 2023 letters on Weverse community or Twitter or Instagram post, V chose to use his Instagram story. He shared a video which was surely entertaining and drew laughter.

Jungkook’s letter

Finally, one of the most-awaited BTS FESTA 2023 letters has come! It’s time for the golden maknae to send love to ARMY out there. Jungkook shared how much fun he had in the past 10 years, and he is ready for another 10 years ahead.

I see that everyone wrote the letter in a touching way…
I was thinking about how to write it, so I am going to write it like myself, LOL.
I’ve definitely gone through a lot of things with ARMY and sometimes it feels like it’s been too long, but in a blink of an eye, 10 years have passed??
I can’t remember clearly every details.
I think there were a lot of good and happy times and a lot of sad and crying, but I don’t remember them very clearly…
Of course, I’m sure if we were to go over each incident, I would know them all.
I think because I always focus on the present, it’s become a habit of mine to quickly forget the past… My hyungs remember everything… But if someone brings it up, I’ll know it (memories)!!!
The memory is just on a brief vacation! All of the memories are in this Jungkook’s heart, LOL.
And the fact that 10 years have passed in a blink of an eye means that it was that much fun for me! You know, if it’s not fun or happy, time goes by really slowly!
