The day has come for BTS to prove their previous promises and explanation that the millennial King of Pop is NOT on hiatus! Korean media reported that BTS would soon resume its activities as the honorary tourism ambassador for the city of Seoul.

On July 18, the Seoul Tourism Organization presented its global marketing plan to promote Seoul’s tourism. According to the director of the Seoul Tourism Organization, Gil Ki Yeon, all the seven members of BTS will be joining the Seoul Metropolitan Government to schedule and create a 2022 version of the promotional video for the city’s tourism.

Since 2017, BTS has been the official honorary ambassador for the city of Seoul. Over the course of 6 years, the millennial King of Pop has continuously participated in various promotional events to support Seoul Tourism.

They have promoted Seoul as the only city in which they become the official ambassador in various videos, from “Life in Seoul” in 2017 to “EoGiYeongCha Seoul” in 2021. Finally, along with the first official schedule of the BTS group comeback in Chapter 2, BTS main dancer J-Hope added an official stetement in his recent interview with Variety.

According to J-Hope, many people misinterpreted what BTS members said during their 2022 BTS Festa dinner. Some details were lost in translation because all BTS members did not mean that they would put a halt on their group project.

BTS J-hope also added that during the dinner, all the members tried to express their feelings honestly, especially to ARMY. They believed it was finally time for them to focus more on their personal growth and pursue different experiences in solo projects. That way, they would be able to return with greater synergy and finally grow further and healthier as a team.
