BTS is Coming for “Despicable Me 4” OST!

Global superstar BTS will reportedly collaborate with American singer Pharrell Williams for the original soundtrack (OST) of “Despicable Me 4” upcoming animation movie. But how is that possible? BTS to Join “Despicable Me 4” Movie OST

Most of BTS members may be in temporary hiatus due to 6 of the members military enlistment, but it doesn’t stop them from making global headlines! Amid their military service enlistment, BTS members voices will soon greet us once again in one of the most epic global animation movies, “Despicable Me.”

On June 13, social media X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and TikTok were in frenzy after a shocking ad featuring BTS and the upcoming animation movie, “Despicable Me 4.” The ad featured black, yellow, and purple hearts, which were closely associated with BTS, especially with V’s iconic term, “Borahae”.

Along with the colorful hearts, we can clearly see the ad’s texts that said “BTS” and “DM4.” While BTS is clearly the name of the Kpop megastar, especially with the visible purple hearts, “DM4” most likely refers to the movie’s title.

And most importantly, we can see that the bottom of the poster featured a copyright trademark that said, “Despicable Me 4 ⓒ 2024 Universal City Studios LLC. BTS ⓒ BIGHIT MUSIC & HYBE. All Rights Reserved.”

Hence, it is almost certain that this is an official advertisement of the new collaboration between BTS and “Despicable Me 4.”

BTS Collaboration Project for the Movie’s OST with Pharell Williams

Along with the ad, it is reported that American singer Pharell Williams would be returning for the upcoming sequel of the animation movie. Previously, Pharell had sung the OST for the franchise, leading to his massive hit song, “Happy.”

Therefore, it is highly likely that BTS will be collaborating with Pharelle Williams for the original soundtrack (OST) of “Despicable Me 4.”
