The Korean Brand Business Research Institute has released the most popular male idol groups and female idol groups in the Kpop industry for this month. BTS and IVE hold their top positions and lead the male group and female group brand reputation rankings for the second month in a row this April 2025. BTS and IVE Top Kpop Brand Reputation Rankings in April 2025
BTS #1 in April 2025 Kpop Boy Group Brand Rankings
From March 12 to April 12, 2025, the Korean Brand Business Research Institute analyzed 63,170,845 pieces of boy group brand big data. The number increased by 6.31 percent from 59,419,864 pieces of boy group brand big data in March.
As a result, BTS topped the male idol group brand reputation rankings for the second consecutive month with a brand reputation index of 7,617,606. This number increased by 9.12 percent from their brand reputation index of 6,980,701 in March.
In link analysis, the group’s most popular related terms included “donate,” “record,” and “surpass.” In keyword analysis, the institute found their most popular keywords were “J-hope,” “Jimin,” and “Jungkook.” Additionally, the seven-member group earned a positive score of 91.59 in the positivity-negativity analysis, indicating positive public reactions toward the group.
Donate
In March, BTS members showed significant support for Sancheong wildfire relief through generous donations and volunteer efforts. Jungkook, the maknae of the BTS groups, donated 1 billion KRW through the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association. J-hope and RM donated each donated 100 million KRW to the same association.
Meanwhile, Suga and V donated 100 million and 200 million KRW, respectively, through the Korean Red Cross. Moreover, Jimin donated 30 million KRW through the Habitat Challenge to restore the housing of vulnerable seniors in Busan.
The eldest member of BTS, Jin, joined a volunteer team organized by Theborn Korea, founded by the famous chef and entrepreneur Baek Jong Won. He was spotted providing free meals at the emergency shelter in Andong, North Gyeongsang Province.

“Record”
BTS Jimin’s hit song “Who” continues to break new records. After surpassing PSY’s “Gangnam Style,” which stayed for 31 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, Jimin’s “Who” recently beat BTS’s all-time record “Dynamite,” which remained on the Billboard Hot 100 for 32 weeks, marking “Who” as the longest run Kpop song on the Billboard Hot 100, staying for 33 weeks.
In addition to Jimin’s achievements, J-hope’s latest track, “Mona Lisa,” enters #65 on Billboard Hot 100, marking the highest debut song by a Kpop act in 2025.
“Surpass”
On March 30, BTS’s 2016 hit music video “Blood Sweat & Tears” exceeded one billion views on YouTube. This marked them as the first Kpop group with an eighth music video to achieve this milestone.
Furthermore, Jungkook’s “GOLDEN” has become the first album by an Asian Soloist to surpass 5.4 billion streams on Spotify. It is also the fastest studio album by an Asian act to reach this feat.

IVE #1 in April 2025 Kpop Girl Group Brand Rankings
From March 13 to April 13, 2025, the Korean Brand Business Research Institute analyzed 56,098,416 pieces of girl group brand big data. It increased by 11.60 percent from 50,265,719 pieces of girl group brand big data in March.
As a result, IVE led the Kpop female group brand reputation ranking for two consecutive months. The six-member idol group achieved a brand reputation index of 5,785,035 in April. This number decreased by 6.90 percent from 6,213,599 pieces of girl group brand big data in March.
In link analysis, the institute found the words “hold,” “sold out,” and “sing-along” to be the most related terms to the group. Moreover, the institute discovered “IVE SCOUT,” “DIVE,” and “fan-con tour” as the most popular keywords for the group. In addition, the Kpop female group achieved a positive score of 92.10 percent in the positivity-negativity analysis, showing favorable public reactions toward the group.
3rd Fan-Con “IVE SCOUT”
The Starship’s girl group IVE kicked off their 3rd fan concert, “IVE SCOUT,” in 2025 on April 5 and 6 at the Olympic Park and the KSPO Dom Seoul. The group is still on their tour to meet their beloved fandom DIVE in several cities in Japan from April 12 to April 30, 2025.
