BTS RM Dropped A Spoiler for BTS New Album? Oops!

Is it that the spoiler king strikes again?

On Weverse, BTS RM shared a post saying, “I’m so excited… Bulletproof album…!!” ARMY buzzed with excitement as well when seeing this post. Is it a spoiler of the upcoming BTS album? Moreover, there is an update on Smeraldo Books account. Though there is no official announcement yet, the mystery is slowly being revealed. Will it be another HYYH era?

Seokjin Note on Smeraldo Books

ARMYs believe that BTS new album will be out around August. They get this idea from cryptic clues from the Flower Smeraldo blog and Smeraldo Book.

On July 23, Smeraldo Books official Twitter updated a new post. The surprising post contains an entry from BTS “Hwang Yang Yeon Hwa: The Notes 2” by Seok Jin.

The entry was in Korean, English, Japanese, and Spanish. It was dated June 27, 2022, saying, “The Smeraldo was trampled under my feet. And a time loop began again.”

What Is Smeraldo Books?

As you might have already known, Smeraldo Books is a Twitter account that expands on Bangtan Universe (BU) storyline. The word “Smeraldo” is derived from a flower, which means “The Truth Untold” in the flower’s language.

BU itself is referred to as Hwang Yang Yeon Hwa (HYYH) by BTS fandom. It comes from videos of I Need U, Prologue, and Run which are part of the trilogy The Most Beautiful Moment in Life (화양연화, Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa = HYYH).

In 2019, they published a physical book The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: The Notes 1 after 15 notes shared on the Smeraldo Books Twitter account. In this case, if the note from Seokjin is like last year, ARMYs may expect there will be several more notes coming.

Besides, the hashtags #화양연화 #TheNotes2 also suggest that a second book may be released. It is possibly the sequel to The Notes 1.

Do Smeraldo Flowers Exist?

The word “smeraldo” comes from “emerald” in Italian. The flower is symbolical. Some believe that the smeraldo flower only exists in legends and fictions. According to several sources, it represents an entangled love story which was estimated to have taken place around the fifteenth to sixteenth centuries in a city of “La Citta di Smeraldo.”

According to a map, “La Citta di Smeraldo” is believed as a village in northern Italy during the medieval times. Many people said that this was a flourishing city, but was abandoned after a tragedy. The place is now believed to become a rural village.

V Replied on RM’s Post

Several hours after RM posted the spoiler (?), V commented on it, saying, “I am recording… I just thought I wanted to hear it quickly.”

RM Haircut in the HYYH Era

Well, RM and V didn’t reveal any details yet from his post on Weverse. However, ARMY’s eagle eyes noticed one more detail: RM haircut is similar to his haircut on the HYYH era! Is it a sign of something?
