BTS Suga is caught in more lies after police reveal the shocking number of his blood alcohol level in recent DUI drunk driving case. Worse, it’s even possible that BTS Suga will face an imminent jail sentence after his actions. Curious? Join us in a full discussion below.
BTS Suga Blood Alcohol Level Impossibly High in Recent DUI Drunk Driving Case
In a recent DUI drunk driving case, BTS rapper Suga chose to lie multiple times to cover his actions in an attempt to save his image. However, when the lie is eventually revealed, it only affects him even more negatively.
Previously, BTS Suga had lied about the vehicle he used. In his official statement, he used the term electric kickboard, while the CCTV video and police statement showed he rode an electric scooter that resembles more like a motorcycle. Hence, it resulted in severe criticism from the public.
Today, the BTS rapper is caught in another lie.
On August 9, Korean media outlet Donga Ilbo wrote an exclusive report revealing the shocking number of BTS Suga blood alcohol level (BAC) in recent DUI drunk driving case. Apparently, it was not a simple ‘tipsy’ moment as the BAC level showed above the 0.2% level, a similar number that occurred to controversial actress Kim Sae Ron.
According to the report, Seoul Yongsan Police Station conducted a breathalyzer test on Suga after he was booked on charges of drunk driving under the Road Traffic Act on August 6. The test then revealed that his BAC was 0.227%.
And yet, at the time, BTS Suga reportedly told another lie. He claimed to have consumed only a glass of beer before riding the scooter.
“I had just one beer before driving for a short while.”

BTS Suga Might Be Going to Jail Due to Impossible Blood Alcohol Level
South Korean law currently states that if someone is caught driving an electric scooter with a BAC of 0.08% or higher but less than 0.2%, they can face imprisonment for 1 to 2 years or a fine between 5 million to 10 million KRW.
However, if the BAC exceeds 0.2%, the penalty can increase to imprisonment for 2 to 5 years or a fine between 10 million to 20 million KRW.
Apparently, this does not only apply to South Korea. Similar to what happened in Kim Sae Ron’s case, having your alcohol level above 0.2% is not only dangerous to yourself but also to others.
What is Happening at 0.2% Blood Alcohol Level?
According to alcohol.org, when your BAC hits 0.2%, your ability to think clearly and your senses are severely impaired. You’ll start feeling confused, dizzy, and disoriented. What’s even more alarming is that you might not feel pain—if you were to fall and seriously hurt yourself, you might not even notice.
Not only that, but at 0.2% BAC level, you’re likely to feel nauseous and might even vomit, but your gag reflexes won’t work properly. This can lead to choking on your own vomit, which can block your airway and make it hard to breathe—a potentially deadly situation.
Not to mention that you will experience blackouts and go through entire events or experiences without remembering them once you sober up.
Hence, driving with a BAC above 0.08% is strictly illegal. This condition doesn’t just endanger your life; it also puts everyone on the road at risk.
Hence, with a blood alcohol level of 0.227%, BTS Suga might be facing jail time in his DUI drunk driving case.
MORE Lies! The Distance was Way Farther in the DUI Drunk Driving Case
What’s worse, it has also been revealed that the distance in which BTS Suga rode the electric scooter was way farther than BIGHIT’s statement—hence, another lie!
A post on the Korean community TheQoo discussed the distance in BTS Suga DUI drunk driving case and revealed that the distance was reportedly around 2.8 kilometers (1.74 miles).
“Even if Suga didn’t leave from a bar but started from the location captured on CCTV, the distance would be 740 meters if he ignored lanes and went on footpaths. If he had followed the road based on the CCTV direction, it would have been 2.8 kilometers.
HYBE and Suga’s claim of driving only 500 meters is based on a straight-line distance measurement.
Plus, if you check the road view, you’ll see that the main road is a 10-12 lane highway. For Suga to head towards UN Village from where he started, he would have had to go up and make a U-turn to go in the opposite direction, resulting in a driving distance of over 2.8 kilometers.”

“BTS Suga is Just a Drunk Driver!” – Criticism Pouring from the Public
Since BIGHIT and BTS Suga caught in another lie, it then resulted in severe criticism from the public, accusing him of simply being a drunk driver.
- “Is he flying or something? LOL.”
- “At this rate, he’s just a drunk driver!”
- “That hill is dangerous, and he was drinking and driving… 😐↔️😐↔️”
- “Did all the competent people at HYBE leave? It wouldn’t have blown up so much if they had just laid low from the start.”
- “Do they think the public is stupid or something?”
- “A straight-line distance… Are you serious?”
- “The scooter, the 500 meters, it’s all lies…”
- “We’re really lucky no one got hurt. Seeing the news, he was driving on the road.”
- “Wow, I pass by that place all the time. There’s so much traffic there.”
- “He probably made enough money and doesn’t care. The company knows fans will stay, and overseas sales will still bring in cash, so who cares about local reactions, right? LOL”
- “In their statement, saying there was no damage to people or property felt so lame. It’s like they’re saying, “Nothing happened, so let’s just move on.” The point is that this could have caused damage, and that’s why you shouldn’t do it. What are they even trying to say? LOL”
- “This is too funny. Is he like Bong-seok from Moving? LOL. Did he just fly there or something?”
- “Do they think all this lying will make the wrongdoing seem smaller? Just admit you were wrong and apologize instead of all this nonsense. Ugh, what a mess.”
