After his shoulder surgery in November, BTS Suga finally held a V Live broadcast on November 28. In the broadcast, Suga updated his condition and confirmed whether he would participate in Big Hit’s New Year’s Eve concert.
Suga Post-Surgery Condition
After going through a shoulder surgery in November, Suga missed several events with his group, BTS. In his recent V Live, he updated ARMY on his current condition. He said, “I can’t raise my arm to 90 degrees yet. It feels like it’s not my arm, like it’s the arm of an infant. Since it doesn’t move well, it does hurt a bit.” Suga also stated that it would probably take about six months to recover.
Suga is doing various exercises
Suga ensures his fans to not worry too much about him as he is continuing to receive rehabilitation treatment. He added, “I’m doing various exercises that are within my range of motion. Although it’s getting better, it’s a slow process. As a result, I feel somewhat impatient, but I’m making consistent progress. Since I’m not attending a clinic that forces me to increase my range of motion, I’m only using my shoulder within the range that I can use.”
Suga in Gayo Daejeon 2020
In SBS Gayo Daejeon 2020, BTS performed Black Swan, Life Goes On, Dynamite, and gave an ending message. Although Suga was not physically attended the event -which made him upset as it was held in his hometown, Daegu- he appeared as a snowman. He said, “I wasn’t on site. I had no idea they made me into a snowman. I really laughed out loud when I watched it.”

Further, Suga talked about the upcoming New Year’s Eve Live Concert, held on December 31 at 9.30 pm KST. He shared his thought on whether or not he will be able to attend the concert, “Since my recovery is going well, I’ll probably attend.”
Suga won’t perform in New Year’s Eve Live concert
However, it seems that ARMY won’t see Suga performing or dancing. He added, “I won’t be able to hold a microphone with my left hand since it hasn’t even been two months since my surgery.” As confirmed by Big Hit, Suga will participate in the concert while following the doctor’s advice by not doing intense choreography and dance performances.
