Further in the announcement, BIGHIT MUSIC also revealed the official schedule for BTS music show comeback 2022. The millennial King of Pop and megastar BTS will finally showcase their extraordinary performances once again.
Promoting their upcoming title track, “Yet to Come,” for the “Proof” anthology album, BTS will grace the audience with their first-class elegance through these meticulously selected music shows. Here is the schedule for BTS music show comeback 2022.
- Mnet “M Countdown” : June 16
- KBS2 “Music Bank” : June 17
- SBS “Inkigayo” : June 19
This schedule will mark the BTS music show comeback after 2 years. The last time the millennial King of Pop made their special appearance on music shows was in March 2020, during their promotional schedule for “Map of the Soul: 7” album.
MBC “Music Core” is NOT Included in BTS 2022 Music Show Comeback Schedule – WHY?
Following the news of BTS comeback 2022, reports also mentioned that MBC “Music Core” is the only prominent music show not included in BTS special performance schedule. The general public speculates that the reason for this exclusion is because of the ongoing bad blood between MBC and HYBE Label.
After all, MBC has been banning all artists from HYBE label because BTS was unable to join their “2019 Gayo Daejejeon”. At the time, BTS had already been scheduled for a Dick Clark’s Rockin Eve performance at Times Square, NY. Therefore, it was impossible for BTS to appear at both events at the same time.
Instead of allowing BTS to prerecord their performance for “2019 Gayo Daejejeon”, MBC seemed offended by the decision. Since then, the broadcasting company has never included all HYBE artists in their programs. They even involved BTS in a controversial issue within one of their promising dramas, “Tomorrow”.
Hence, MBC “Music Core” will be the only popular program that will not air BTS highly-anticipated comeback in 2022.
Instead, with BTS’ absence, a strange situation arose. Since their debut, Gfriend, who has been invited to all the year-end shows at the major networks, didn’t perform on one stage: MBC.

And it’s not like their popularity decreased last yr. Gfriend was #1 twice on MBC’s Music +
BTS said their farewell to MBC since back then tho 🤣 BTS and BigHit might gave them a chance to do prerecord but MBC rejected it. As global artist, ofc BTS choose to perform in US. Beside there are abt 1M audience of locals, it bring them money too. pic.twitter.com/aCPhtNRA2s

BTS: The Global Legend of the Millennial Pop Music
At last, if it is really true that MBC had banned all HYBE label artists—including BTS—from performing in their music shows, do you think they will keep insisting on doing so?
After all, BTS has been globally known as a legend in the international community. As an artist, they always manage to deliver not only the best but also premium first-class quality in all their performances.
Following every legendary milestone and achievement BTS has secured during these years, all the other programs seem to be eagerly competing to have their special appearance. Even the American White House itself decided to invite BTS to discuss the anti-Asian hate crimes as the Youth representative.
BTS today is not just a mere Kpop artist. Instead, BTS has become the global representative for many aspects, including music, art, and humanity.
