The 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) has concluded with BooMing NOISE on December 11. With its impressive performer and presenter lineups, as well as iconic special stage, MAMA 2021 has undoubtedly proved that the Kpop industry has risen yet again, even during these challenging times.

BTS Breaking Records by Achieving Daesang All-Kill for THREE Consecutive Years at MAMA 2021

The millennial King of Pop, BTS, may not physically attend the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), but it doesn’t stop them from conquering the Kpop industry!

Regardless of their absence, BTS has taken ALL four Daesang categories at the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards. Also, BTS was breaking records AGAIN, especially for MAMA “Artist of the Year”, where they became the FIRST artist who won the category for SIX years in a row from 2016 to 2021.

Along with “Artist of the Year”, BTS has taken home NINE awards in total at the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA):

TWICE Also Breaking Records at MAMA 2021 By Winning “Best Female Group” FOUR Times

Along with BTS, TWICE has also marked their name in history by breaking records and winning their 4^th MAMA “Best Female Group” in 2021.

Furthermore, getting their 4th “Best Female Group” win at MAMA 2021 means that TWICE has broken the tie with SNSD (Girls’ Generation). Therefore, they’ve become the Kpop group that dominates and sweeps the most wins in the category. Previously, TWICE has won MAMA’s “Best Female Group” in 2016, 2018, and 2019.

However, unfortunately, TWICE was unable to attend the award ceremony for MAMA 2021 because of their hectic schedule. Therefore, TWICE members expressed their gratitude via a video message to the fans.

Brave Girls Won MAMA 2021 KTO Breakout Artist: Revealing They ALMOST Disbanded This Year

Last but not least, a tearful message came from the 2^nd gen girl group, Brave Girls. At the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), Brave Girls has managed to win the KTO (Korean Tourism Organization) Breakout Artist. It is no wonder, especially after what they’ve done as the South Korean Official Tourism Ambassadors and the 2021 Hanbok Wave Project, as well as Culture Week.

During their acceptance speech, Brave Girls Minyoung surprisingly revealed that the group had actually been set to disband this year. It explains how Brave Entertainment even wrote an apology letter earlier this year. Therefore, they expressed their gratitude to the people who supported them, especially because MAMA is an award ceremony they had wanted to attend.

“My heart is beating so hard right now. Brave Girls were actually set to disband this year…

Since before I was a singer, MAMA is the award ceremony that I’ve always wanted to attend. So, the reason we’re here today is not merely because of our efforts, but it’s more because—and thanks to—the people who have supported us. Therefore, thank you so much, and we will do our best in the future.”
