On Tuesday 15, BIGHIT MUSIC confirmed via Weverse that Kim Taehyung or BTS V tests positive for COVID-19 with a mild sore throat. V has received two rounds of vaccination and doesn’t present any unusual symptoms.

Previously, before BIGHIT announced the condition of BTS V, BTS Jimin posted his selca on Weverse with a “V” under his eyes, which might be a hint for ARMY about V.

After BIGHIT announced that BTS V tested positive COVID-19, on February 16, a Korean multi-talented star Lee Seung Gi also reported positive for COVID-19.

Lee Seung Gi Tested Positive COVID-19 and Updated His Condition Through His Instagram Stories

On Tuesday night, Lee Seung Gi, a multi-talented Korean artist tested positive for COVID-19. According to Hook Entertainment, he took a self-test for Covid before attending a photoshoot for an advertisement. When he discovered that he tested positive, he canceled all his activities and underwent a PCR test at a nearby hospital that also tested positive.

The star has received vaccination three times and is currently in self-quarantine. He posted two stories on his personal Instagram to update his fans about his current condition on Tuesday night.

Lee Seung Gi posted a screenshot of a news article about his current condition in the first post. He wrote in the caption,

“How did an article [published] at the speed of light like this?”.

Then, to assure his fans that he is in good condition, he posted his childhood photo on his second post. He wrote,

“Since many people are worried and contact me~ I only have common cold-like symptoms. So please, do not worry too much. I will recover quickly and greet you again in good health~!! Thank you to many people who have been worrying about me.”

ITZY Chaeryeong Tested Positive for COVID-19 after Lia and Yeji

Chaeryeong is the third member of the Kpop girl group ITZY that was diagnosed with COVID-19 after Lia and Yeji. JYP has released an official statement regarding Chaeryeong’s current situation via the company’s website.

We are informing you that Chaeryeong tested positive for COVID-19 on the afternoon of February 16.
Earlier, Chaeryeong was in self-quarantine after receiving negative test results on the PCR test she took on the morning of February 12. However, on February 15 morning, she tested positive on the self-test kit. She then immediately underwent PCR testing and was diagnosed with COVID-19 on the afternoon of February 16.
Chaeryeong has already received the second dose of her vaccine, and she currently has no symptoms other than coughing and a headache. Thus, she is receiving at-home treatment according to the guidelines of the disease control authorities.
We will put the artist’s health as the top priority, and we will do our best so that [Chaeryeong] can concentrate on treatment and recovery.

Aside from BTS V, Lee Seung Gi, and ITZY Chaeryeong, many Korean artists have tested positive for COVID-19 in these past few days. They are ATEEZ San, TV Personality Kim Sung Joo, BTOB Eunkwang, 2D1N’s variety star Moon Se Yoon, CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa, new boy group TEMPEST, and Kingdom Dann.
