BTS Webtoon to Return Soon Following Naver and HYBE Collaboration for Original Contents

BTS webtoon will soon return following the announcement from Naver that they will make a collaboration for original content with HYBE artists and DC Comics.

Naver in Collaboration with HYBE and DC Comics for BTS Webtoon and Others

Following the Naver’s Naver Meetup online event, the CEO of Naver Webtoon announced a collaboration with the global entertainment company. Furthermore, the purpose of this collaboration is to create a super casting project. It means, they will be producing super IPs and original content for webtoons and web novels.

On August 18, the CEO of Naver Webtoons, Kim Jun Goo, officially stated, “Collaborating with entertainment industries that have a global fandom, we will be launching a ‘super casting’ project where we produce original webtoon contents and external super IPs.”

K-media revealed that the Webtoon(comics) branch of the major Korean platform, Naver, will be collaborating with Hybe and DC Comics. Naver x HYBE Collaboration: BTS Webtoon Will Soon Return

According to the announcement, Naver will invite HYBE and DC Comics for their first collaboration partners. And yes, it means that the BTS webtoon will soon return.

Furthermore, the collaboration between Naver and HYBE planned to develop webtoons and web novels involving various HYBE’s artists, including BTS.

As for their collaboration with DC Comics, Naver will design original content for webtoons about DC characters and storylines.

About BTS First Webtoon: Save Me

Previously, Naver collaborated with BTS in January 2019 to release BTS first-ever Webtoon with the title, “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt.0: Save Me”.

Furthermore, the “Save Me” webtoon tells about BTS being in an alternate universe with the main character, Kim Seok Jin, trapped in a time loop. Kim Seok Jin keeps reliving his life experience starting from April 11 and will only be able to escape the curse after he saves all his six best friends from their horrible fates.

BTS Webtoon to Return with a Fresh Storyline

Unlike the previous project, this time, BTS Webtoon will return with a fresh storyline. As mentioned by Naver Webtoon CEO, Naver and HYBE webtoon collaboration will involve stories about various HYBE artists, including BTS, TXT, ENHYPEN, NU’EST, Seventeen, ZICO, etc.

Indeed, there is yet an exact statement regarding the whole storyline. However, it is highly possible that BTS and other artists’ webtoons will be about their development story as an artist. Therefore, all the webtoons will have a fresh storyline revolving around the artist as they grow and develop in the entertainment business.
