“The Villainess is a Marionette” teaser starring Cha Eun Woo, Han So Hee, and Lee Soo Hyuk as its cast, formed solid chemistry that was so SURREAL that it made you desperate to see them in a new drama together.
What are Their Roles as Cast in “The Villainess is a Marionette” Trailer?
Furthermore, in the visual trailer of “The Villainess is a Marionette”, Cha Eun Woo, Han So Hee, and Lee Soo Hyuk united to play the main cast. Set in a historical romance genre, we can finally see how the three prominent celebrities dress up like royal nobles in the Victorian era.
It was simply too preciously stunning especially knowing that the three celebrities have long been famous as top-tier visuals in the world of Korean drama.
So here are the characters in the visual teaser of “The Villainess is a Marionette” webtoon.
Han So Hee as Princess Kayena Hill
First, we have Han So Hee as the main character of “The Villainess is a Marionette” webtoon, Princess Kayena Hill.
Princess Kayena Hill is the first princess and heiress to the throne of the Eldyme Empire. During her first life, Kayena is foolish, arrogant, and wicked: classic traits of a true villain. She abuses and harasses everyone who stands in her way, including the man she adores: Raffaello Kidrey.
But despite this horrible personality, Princess Kayena is highly susceptible to manipulation. Give her some praise and compliment, and you will quickly melt her heart. That is why she falls easily into her brother’s scheme. And eventually, Kayena dies an unfair death at the hands of her abusive husband.
Princess Kayena is then reborn as an ordinary office worker in South Korea with a docile and submissive character. One day, the ordinary woman reads a novel about Princess Kayena and feels a special connection. During this second life, she must again die an unfair death to return to her life as Kayena.
Eventually, in her third chance at living, Kayena vowed to fix everything. So instead of focusing on her unrequited love for Raffaello Kidrey, Kayena strives hard to avoid her abusive marriage and fight her manipulative brother to reform her destiny.
Cha Eun Woo as Raffaello Kidrey
Next comes Cha Eun Woo to play Raffaello Kidrey in “The Villainess is a Marionette” trailer cast.
Being the most handsome and most-sought bachelor in the entire kingdom, Raffaello Kidrey is a stern and powerful knight with a warmhearted personality. He is just as an excellent warrior as he is a man: highly-trained combat and strategic skills, brilliant, and kindhearted. Raffaello Kidrey is your perfect male character in the entire universe.
However, behind all these perfect traits and characteristics, Raffaello has been enduring all kinds of abuse and harassment. And it comes not only from his own parents but also from the empire’s princess, Kayena. Moreover, he also suffers from severe mysophobia, making it dreadful to have anyone touch his body.
So when Kayena repeatedly harassed him and touched him without his consent, it was like the worst nightmare for Raffaello. Not to mention that because of this weakness, his reputation becomes tarnished. Everyone thinks he has sexual orientation problems simply because he does not want to touch women.
Lee Soo Hyuk as Regef Hill
Finally, model-actor Lee Soo Hyuk joined “The Villainess is a Marionette” trailer cast as Regef Hill.
Regef Hill is the first prince of the Eldyme Empire and Kayena’s younger brother. Since Regef was raised without his parents’ love, he becomes obsessed with Kayena. After all, Kayena is the older sister who had been standing by and loving him since he was young. Therefore, he feels abandoned when Kayena falls in love with Raffaello and pours all her attention on the young knight.
Unlike his angelic appearance, Regef is even more cunning than the devil himself. On top of that, he is highly possessive with an unquenchable thirst for power. So he does everything and uses anyone, including his own sister, Kayena. Regef manipulates them and doesn’t even hesitate to kill anyone to reach his own goal.
