Choo Young Woo May Lead New Romance Drama “Long Vacation”
On March 27, actor Choo Young Woo will reportedly take on the lead role in the new drama “Long Vacation.” In response to the casting news, the actor’s agency stated,
“We have been offered to appear in ‘Long Vacation’ and are reviewing it.”

The upcoming romance drama will be helmed by Lee Jung Hyo, known for his work on popular romance dramas such as “Crash Landing on You,” “Romance Is a Bonus Book,” “Life on Mars,” “The Good Wife,” “Cruel City,” “Doona” and more. His upcoming work is “The Price of Confession,” featuring top actors like Jeon Do Yeon, Kim Go Eun, Park Hae Soo, and Jin Seon Kyu.
The drama’s screenplay is penned by Jung Hyun Jung, dubbed “master of romance.” Her popular works include, “Discovery of Romance,” “Five Enough,” “Romance Is a Bonus Book,” “Lovestruck in the City,” “Our Blooming Youth,” and many more.
The upcoming drama will be Lee Jung Hyo and Jung Hyun Jung’s third collaboration, following “I Need Romance” Season 2 in 2012 and “Romance Is a Bonus Book” in 2019.

At the beginning of this year, Choo Young Woo made waves with his performances in two hit dramas. Those dramas are “The Tale of Lady Ok“ and “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call.”
If he confirms his participation in “Long Vacation,” this drama will be the actor’s next project after his upcoming release dramas, Netflix’s “Mercy for None“ and tvN’s “Gyeon U and Fairy.“
Recently, rising star Choo Young Woo was named the number one best actor in Korea in the male actor popularity poll conducted by DC Trend Media from March 17 to March 23, 2025. He received 36,825 votes, defeating senior actor Kim Nam Gil, who received 36,726 votes. Following them were Byeon Woo Seok in third place with 34,483 votes, Rowoon in fourth place with 27,924 votes, Lee Joon Hyuk in fifth place with 264,750 votes, and Uhm Tae Go in sixth place with 206.298 votes.
Furthermore, actor Choo Young Woo released a four-frame photo display in collaboration with the self-photo brand “Photoism.” In these pink frames, he poses in various ways that showcase his charms for fans to take pictures. Adding to the excitement, he actively participated in creating the flowers and candies. His photo frames will be available until April 4.
