On March 29, MNH Entertainment officially announced that Chungha would leave the agency after 7 years of togetherness. Additionally, MNH Entertainment mentioned that they would not release the second part of Chungha’s studio album Bare&Rare ‘due to internal circumstances.’
Chungha to Leave MNH Entertainment
Previously in January, Sports World reported that Chungha decided not to renew her contract with MNH Entertainment which will expire in April.
Here’s the full statement from MNH Entertainment:
Hello, this is MNH Entertainment.
First, we would like to thank all the fans who care for Chungha and give her their love and interest.
We are informing you that our exclusive contract with Chungha, who debuted in 2016 and has been with us for seven years, will end on April 29, 2023. Furthermore, we ask for the fans’ generous understanding in regards to the fact that “Bare&Rare Part.2” will not be released under our agency due to internal circumstances.
We sincerely thank Chungha, who has been with our agency for a long time, and we also sincerely thank all the BYULHARANG [Chungha’s fans] who give her their unsparing support and remain by her side.
We will be rooting for Chungha, who will make her mark as an admirable artist, as she makes a fresh start. Thank you.
Chungha, who initially debuted as a member of Produce 101 project group I.O.I in 2016, made her first step as a solo artist in 2017. Her last comeback in July 2022 was marvelous with Bare&Rare Part 1. Although MNH Entertainment would not release the second part, Chungha is sure to comeback with new music.
