Possible Reasons of Tan, Tag, Dohwan, and Won Leaving Ciipher
1. Ciipher’s Limited Interaction with Fans
Looking at Ciipher’s SNS, they rarely interact with their fans. There’s a noticeable gap between their posts, some weeks or even months apart. This pattern is similarly observed on their TikTok and YouTube channels.
The group’s YouTube channel was last updated nine months ago, and their Twitter activity primarily consists of retweets.
Not only that, Ciipher also does not have any platform where they can actively interact with their fans. And do you remember when they last held a fan meeting as a complete group?
2. Mismanagement
It is no longer a secret that Rain has been accused of abandoning several idol groups that debuted under his management. The Kpop girl group Two X and boy group MBLAQ are two groups that debuted under J.Tune Entertainment. At that time, Rain had to serve in the military, but upon his return, he signed with the subsidiary of Cube Entertainment. Fans sensed that Rain abandoned the two idol groups he debuted.
With such history, some fans were worried when he announced he was debuting a new boy group under his new company RAIN Entertainment. Nevertheless, fans kept supporting the 7-member group to debut.
3. Ciipher’s Unofficial Hiatus
After their debut in March 2021, the first and only comeback Ciipher made was in May 2022. The agency’s negligence has angered fans.
Fans claim that Ciipher has been battling with ongoing neglect and ill-treatment from their agency. Fans have initiated various actions regarding this issue, like writing petitions and protests, mass-emailing RAIN company, and social media campaigns.
The actions taken by fans reflect their determination to hold Rain Company accountable. Rain Company must listen to the concerns of fans, rectify the mistreatment, and provide Ciipher with the support and promotion they genuinely deserve.
4. Kcon LA controversy
Not only accused of abandoning the group, but fans also suspect Rain of prioritizing his own career over Ciipher. It was announced that Rain would be one of the performers of KCON LA happening this August.
The announcement came right after the cancellation of the KPOP Allstars Music Festival in Manado, Indonesia, where Ciipher is supposed to perform.
Additionally, I’m The World Entertainment, the new entertainment company involved in organizing the event, failed to provide any promotion after Ciipher’s welcome video was posted on Instagram. The ticket prices for the Manado event were also deemed exorbitant for an outdoor concert, especially compared to the more affordable Joyland festival. Furthermore, rumors circulated among fans that a significant number of tickets had already been sold, contradicting claims of “low interest and ticket sales.”
Honestly for me, it’s not about him being invited, not about him retiring nor stopping him from performing whatsoever that us CLUEs really are angry about. But it’s all about him not taking responsibility for the boys or for the group he created. Before Ciipher I admire Rain+ https://t.co/mZCRO4XB78

Hyunbin, Hwi, Keita’s Future Plan
However, neither the agency nor the artists have officially confirmed the reasons for the 4 members’ sudden departure news.
Meanwhile, Keita recently competed on Mnet’s Boys Planet, finishing in rank 12, and will have a fan meeting on August 19. Tag was initially also a Boys Planet contestant but left before the show began. While Hyunbin competed on MBC’s audition show Fantasy Boys, who sadly had to be eliminated during the final round. Until now, there is no update about Hwi’s future plan.
What Will Happen to Ciipher?
As per this article written, there is yet an official statement from the agency regarding the boy group’s future plan.
Recent information suggested that one of Ciipher members, Keita, is set to be part of a new sub-group, formed by participants who didn’t make the final lineup in Boys Planet. The grapevine has it that Keita is already sharing a living space with these upcoming group members. As of now, Wake One Entertainment’s lineup includes Park Han Bin, Lee Jeong Hyeon, Mun Jung Hyun, and Park Ji Hu, while Yuehua Entertainment will likely feature Yoo Seung Eon and Ji Yun Seo. \
While there hasn’t been an official announcement about this group, there’s already a mix of excitement and skepticism among netizens about its inception. Sources indicate that Jellyfish Entertainment might be at the helm of managing the group, with plans for a debut set for later this year.
