The Circle Chart Music Awards 2022 Nominees
The 2022 Circle Chart Music Awards ceremony, previously named Gaon Chart Music Awards, will take place at the KSPO Dome in Olympic Park, Seoul, on February 18, 2023 (6PM – KST). This event will be Circle Chart’s first awards ceremony since its rebranding from the Gaon Chart earlier this year. Besides celebrating Korea’s music industry, they will continue to deliver messages on environmental protection. In addition, the event will be available to be watched worldwide through live online broadcasting.
The Circle Chart Music Awards 2022 primarily uses the Circle chart data to select the candidates, and for the first time this year, it will include global Kpop chart data to determine the winners. The categories that determine the winners using the global Kpop chart data include the Singer of the Year, the Rookie of the Year Award, and the Global Rookie of the Year Award. Furthermore, new categories are added this year: Women/Men Solo and Group Singer Awards.
Circle Chart Music Awards 2022 will announce the nominees of all categories in stages. Recently, they announced the nominees for the Artist of the Year (Digital Music) and the Artist of the Year (Physical Album) categories. The music and albums selected do not include music produced for broadcasting use, movies, drama OST, or auditions.
Let’s check out the nominees below.
