Celebrate the Return of BTS Jin: Everything You CANNOT Miss on His Military Discharge Date!
After 18 months serving on his mandatory military duty, we can finally welcome the return of BTS worldwide handsome member Jin on his discharge date, June 12.
If somehow you weren’t able to witness his return, let us help you summarize everything you cannot miss on the very special day!
Things You CANNOT Miss to Celebrate Jin’s Comeback
1. Tearful Farewells with Fellow Military Colleagues
As we all know, BTS worldwide handsome Jin is one of the humblest global celebrities. His 18 months of hiatus did not change this heartwarming personality. Instead, it only elevated his kindness and easygoing nature. Just take a look at how tearful the farewell between BTS Jin and his military colleagues on his discharge date!
2. Reunion with BTS Members on the Site – Except Suga
Immediately after Jin sets foot outside, all BTS members welcome his return. That is except Suga. Apparently, Suga went ahead, waiting for everyone at the company building.
3. RM Playing Saxophone – Stunning but WHY?
Thirdly, you may have realized that instead of fully welcoming his return, BTS RM played “Dynamite” on his saxophone on the discharge date. While it was definitely stunning, aren’t you wondering why he did it?
According to fans’ speculations, it was a genius idea of RM that by playing the saxophone, he created a disguise so the members could talk without anyone overhearing their conversation.

4. Jin’s Reaction to RM’s Saxophone Demonstration? Hilarious!
While RM’s saxophone performance was genius and stunning, it was somehow comical amid the tearful reunion between BTS members and their loyal soulmates ARMY. And so, Jin just decided to hilariously put an end to the show.
Some media outlets picked up Jin’s reaction as he hugged RM and jokingly said, “Okay, that’s enough now.” Then, RM stopped playing and they both walked away from the site.
5. BTS OT7 Photo 2024
After leaving the military discharge site, BTS Jin along with the rest of the members returns to the company. As Suga was already in the building, we can finally see the 2024 version of BTS family photo with complete 7-member formation.
6. BTS Jin Fulfills His Promise on Military Discharge Return
Moreover, just as we expect from the BTS eldest hyung, Jin fulfilled his long-awaited promise to greet ARMY immediately on his discharge date.
Still wearing his military uniform, Jin went live and greeted ARMY as one of the annual BTS FESTA Weverse LIVE celebration 2024. And just like how it usually goes with Jin, everything was full of joy and hilarious!
In one of the Weverse Live moments, Jin even jokingly scolded one of his military friends who asked him to greet one of HYBE’s girl group.

7. Formal Apology for BTS FESTA 2024 Hug Event
In this live broadcast, Jin apologized for the controversy related to BTS 2024 FESTA hug event.
“Let me explain the situation regarding the FESTA event. I had an idea that received quite a bit of criticism, so I want to clarify things. I started with a draft and took charge of the FESTA by myself this time, reaching out to the organizers around October or November last year. However, they were upfront about having most of the plans already set.
When they asked if I had any ideas, I suggested a free hug event, but they declined. When I inquired about their plans, they mentioned their usual practice of renting a park for the event and were quite insistent on it for about a month.
Considering the safety issues from the company’s perspective, I suggested holding the event indoors and giving hugs to the winners. Although the company mentioned it would be challenging to do it the day after my discharge, I expressed my wish to hug 3,000 people. Eventually, it was reduced to 1,000 people.
After that, I admit I didn’t pay much attention to it, and I apologize for that. Both the company and I had good intentions in preparing this event. My desire to hug many fans led to this situation, and I hope you can understand and accept this with your hearts.”
