Netflix’s “Daily Dose of Sunshine” Receives a Prestigious Nomination for 2024 International Emmy Awards
On September 19, the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences proudly announced its nominations for the 2024 International Emmy® Awards. This year, there are 14 categories with 56 nominees from 21 countries, including Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Thailand, Türkiye, and the United Kingdom.
With the Hallyu wave soaring internationally, Korean productions have gained great recognition worldwide. As a result, they have earned nominations for international awards, including the International Emmy® Awards.
Several Korean productions have been nominated for this prestigious award in the past three years. These include “I-Land,” “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay,” “Granni-E-minem” (documentary), “Dr. Brain, “The King of Affection,” “Extraordinary Attorney Woo,” and “Reborn Rich.”
This year, the Netflix original K-series “Daily Dose of Sunshine” received a nomination for the 2024 International Emmy® Awards. Surprisingly, although it is classified as a slice-of-life and medical drama, the show has been nominated in the Comedy category.

The K-drama series is a live adaptation of the popular webtoon “Morning Comes to Psychiatric Wards Too.” Interestingly, the real experiences of a real psychiatric nurse inspire the captivating story. It follows Jung Da Eun (played by Park Bo Young), a new psychiatric nurse with a good spirit and full dedication to helping others.
