BIGBANG T.O.P Confirmed His Leaving the Group on Instagram
The existence of Kpop 2nd generation legend BIGBANG is in danger: one of its prominent members, T.O.P, is reportedly leaving the group.
On May 30, one of BIGBANG members, Choi Seung Hyun or T.O.P, posted a video on his Instagram account. This post was to update his fans that he is still actively making music.
While fans are happy and excited to see their beloved idol healthy and happy with his life, they didn’t expect that BIGBANG T.O.P would confirm his leaving the group.
What Happened and Why Did T.O.P Leave BIGBANG?
So, what happened to BIGBANG T.O.P, and what did he say exactly?
After T.O.P posted the video on Instagram, a fan asked whether the idol did leave BIGBANG in the comments.
Surprisingly, BIGBANG T.O.P directly replied to the comment and confirmed that he was leaving the group. Moreover, T.O.P also stated that he had publicly stated to leave BIGBANG last year and that he left the group because he was facing a new chapter in his life.
Additionally, BIGBANG member T.O.P teased a potential comeback through his Instagram story. However, when he encountered the ones mentioning him as one of the BIGBANG members, T.O.P personally crossed out the word BIGBANG, leaving only his name.
Furthermore, T.O.P then highlighted an article suggesting his return to the music scene following his departure from BIGBANG.
Did He REALLY Leave?
This statement takes us back to last year when BIGBANG released an emotional comeback, Still Life.
While the comeback was a massive sensation that it received a Perfect-All-Kill, fans were a little bit disappointed. That is because they didn’t get the chance to see BIGBANG members together at the time. Instead, the MV only presented solo shots of each member without showing any interactions or even all of them together on one screen.
Then, after the comeback, BIGBANG T.O.P posted a message on his Instagram account. He expressed his gratitude to all YG’s staff for the last 16 years and that he was going through a crucial turning point in his life.
Many fans speculated that it was a statement from T.O.P after leaving YG Entertainment, but nobody thought he would actually leave BIGBANG.
On the other hand, it has been a while since T.O.P revealed that he was never really happy with the group. In fact, he once stated during an Instagram LIVE that he never wanted to make a comeback.
Instead, he wanted to make his own music without having to deal with specific boundaries.
“I won’t do a comeback in Korea. I don’t want to make a comeback at all.
If I do, they would make more articles, but won’t let me say anything.
